Those Halloween costumes...

Tracy Walls Strother at Maple Lake in Sept. 1977

I think that is the nurse hat Mom had made for Patsy and I. I remember a navy blue cape though, and I'm not remembering the arm band.

Barbara and Amanda Nicholson on Halloween, 1979.
I made the clown costume.

Barbara and Amanda Easter 1980

Easter in Huntington, WV ~ Barbara and Amanda

We were living in Huntington, WV while Ed built the Cam Henderson Center at Marshall University. We still had our 'real' home at Maple Lake, but we lived here to share our lives with Ed. This is the month Amanda turned two years old, and this is when I got pregnant for Joey!
Gosh, I'm having a lot of fun going through these photo albums.

Anticipating that first baby

Amanda and I were thinking about Trisha and John getting ready for the first baby.

That's when it became evident that all that Winnie-the-Pooh furniture I had to have - well, it hadn't made much of an impression of either of my two kids. Apparently, they don't remember much about it!!

Imagine!!

Ed was sure the scary Winnie-the-Pooh lamp would ruin them forever! Guess not!

Yes, we did the entire nursery in every piece of Winnie-the-Pooh stuff we could find.

We had the crib, changing table, dresser, mobile, lamp, bumper pads, sheets, blankets, actual stuff Winnie and assorted friends.....even a light fixture in the ceiling I think.

Used it for both kids. Sold it to Hank and Sherry Murray after Joey moved to the big bed.
